The representatives of the project “Upgrade of the Cross-Border Regional Hub of Competences for the Automotive Industry for Green and Digital Emerging Trends – CROSSCOMP 2.0” – ROMD00216, successfully participated in the European Researchers’ Night 2025, an event organized at the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) on September 26, 2025 and dedicated to promoting science, technology and innovation among the general public.
The event, held in the Open-Air Technology Park-Museum, transformed the university space into a living laboratory, where dozens of research and technology projects were presented in an interactive and accessible form to visitors of all ages. The atmosphere was one of enthusiasm, curiosity and openness to scientific exploration, and special guests from the fields of education and research were present to support and encourage community participation in this initiative.

At the stand dedicated to the CROSSCOMP 2.0 project, the project team provided visitors with detailed information about the strategic objectives of the project, focusing on:
- The importance of modern skills in the automotive industry, adapted to emerging ecological and digital trends;
- The role of cross-border education and collaboration between the Technical University of Moldova and the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași in the development of innovative academic programs;
- The possibilities for advanced professional training, by updating the curriculum and equipping laboratories with state-of-the-art technology;
- The perspectives open to students and young people attracted by the top fields of technological engineering, including the automotive industry.
Direct interaction with the public provided the opportunity to discuss with students, academics, and science enthusiasts about the project’s impact on technical education and the development of future skills.
Participation in such events reflects the CROSSCOMP 2.0 project’s commitment to communicating to the wider public the values it promotes — academic excellence, innovative technologies, and international collaboration for the benefit of the community.
