The CrossComp 2.0 partnership successfully held its 3rd Progress Meeting on May 14–15, 2026, hosted by the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. The event brought together project partners to review progress during the third reporting period and to align on upcoming activities and deliverables.

Day 1: Reviewing Progress and Strengthening Collaboration

The meeting opened with a welcome address by Conf. dr. eng. Nicolae Lucanu, Project Coordinator from the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași (TUIASI), followed by an overview of partner collaboration during the ongoing reporting period.

Key project activities were then presented:

  • Activity 1.2 – Management and Reporting:
    An update on the progress of deliverables and outputs was delivered, highlighting milestones achieved during Period 3 and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Activity 1.3 – Financial Management:
    Partners reviewed the current state of expenditures and payments, ensuring transparency and efficient use of project resources.
  • Activity 1.4 – Communication and Dissemination:
    The communication strategy and dissemination efforts were discussed, with emphasis on increasing project visibility and outreach.
  • Activity 1.5 – Upgrading Educational and Research Strategy:
    The consortium evaluated progress on improving the joint educational strategy in automotive engineering, particularly in the context of green and digital transformation trends.

The first day concluded with discussions on human resources involvement, technical aspects of the implemented activities, and a summary of the day’s conclusions.

Day 2: Advancing Academic Development and Infrastructure

The second day focused on concrete advancements in academic and technical components of the project.

  • Activity 1.6 – Joint Development of a Double-Diploma Master Programme:
    Significant progress was reported on the development of a new interdisciplinary, high-quality master’s programme. The curriculum design and deliverables were evaluated, reinforcing collaboration between partner institutions.
  • Activity 1.7 – Academic Infrastructure Upgrade:
    Updates were provided on the acquisition of equipment required for laboratories at TUIASI and UTM, supporting the modernization of educational and research capacities.

Participants also discussed the preparation of the 3rd Progress Report, covering reporting requirements, timelines, and responsibilities.

Key Discussions and Outcomes

Throughout the meeting, partners engaged in constructive discussions addressing current and anticipated challenges, ensuring proactive solutions and continuous improvement of project implementation.

The meeting concluded with a wrap-up session summarizing key decisions, next steps, and reinforcing the shared commitment to achieving the project’s goals.
